Toilet- Ek Prem Katha: Akshay Kumar’s Attempt To Win Back His Wife In Gori Tu Latth Maar Is Heartwarming
Toilet-Ek Prem Katha’s last song, Bakheda received thumbs up from the audiences and now comes the second track, Gori Tu Latth Maar, crooned yet again by Sonu Nigam. The song redefines a spat between couples and unfolds an emotional chapter in Akshay and Bhumi’s lives.

As the name suggests, the song is based on Holi celebrations. We have seen Akshay Kumar dancing to the tunes of Do Me A Favour Let’s Play Holi from Waqt- Race Against Time. But this track is different as compared to the typical Holi chartbusters. In this song, Keshav played by Akshay is trying to win back his wife Jaya played by Bhumi Pednekar and is determined to seek her forgiveness.

The song is composed by Vickey Prasad and Tum Hi Ho singer Palak Muchhal joins Sonu as the female voice. The lyrics, penned by Siddharth Garima, emote Keshav’s pain extremely well.

A while ago, Akshay shared the song on his twitter account with a caption: “Keshav aur Jaya ki prem kahani mein kyun aa gayi latth! Dekhiye #LatthMaar (sic).”

Bhumi Pednekar also posted the song with a tweet that read: “The best love stories have known the greatest pain. Here's #LatthMaar for you ❤️ @akshaykumar (sic).”

Toilet- Ek Prem Katha is set in rural India and showcases the journey of a man who will do anything to find him a wife, even marry a buffalo to ward off the ill effects of his kundli. Bhumi is a feisty small town girl and they fall in love and get married. But soon she realises that her husband’s home does not have a toilet.

Their love story hits a roadblock when Bhumi refuses to perform her morning ablutions in the open and demands a toilet. What follows is a revolution of sorts with Akshay and Bhumi leading it. The film will release on August 11, 2017.
